Beef ‘O Brady’s was founded in 1984 in Brandon, Florida by Jim Mellody [1]. The first Beef ‘O Brady’s family sports pub opened its doors in Brandon on September 25, 1985. The restaurant was originally named after Mellody’s wife, Ellen (O’Brady being her maiden name), and their two children, Sean and Erin. The Mellody family sold the chain to Current CEO Chris Sullivan in March of 1991.
Beef ‘O Brady’s currently operates over 200 family sports pubs in 26 states. Sullivan has aggressive plans for nationwide expansion and Beef ‘O Brady’s expects to operate 500 locations by 2025.
